IPC Route Planner Support Page

Welcome to the support page for the IPC Route Planner. On this page you can find video tutorals, a quick help guide and a Feedback form.

The IPC Route Planner is available to schools with license to use the English IPC Mileposts. All teachers with an individual members' lounge account can view released route plans and generate learning goal coverage reports, organisation administators can in addition create and edit new route plans.

FAQ's

Q. What can you do as a School Administrator? A. We have designed the Route Planner so that any person with School Administrator access can create, edit, delete and release route maps to other teachers. The School Administrator (usually the Head/or IPC champion(s) in your school have this level of access). Q. What can you do as a Teacher?A.(we are currently working on the Route Planner to also allow teachers to create, edit, delete and release their own route maps. This new feature will be coming in the next version of the Route Planner) Teachers can only view released route maps based on what the School Administrator has released to them. A teacher cannot create, edit, delete or release a route map - this can only be done by the School Administrator.

Q. Why cant I drag and drop units onto the panels in the Schedule page? A. Please note that if you are using Internet Explorer - version 6 (or an older version) you may experience problems with the Route Planner. You are advised to download the latest version (Ideally version 8) of Internet Explorer for the Route Planner to work at its best. Other Internet Browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari should work fine.

Q. Why does the Route Planner not allow me to map my Milepost over more than the Milepost years allocated? - A. Milepost year coverage (please note that if you cover a Milepost over more than the maximum number years stated below -the Route Planner will not allow you to select additional years) Milepost 1: 2 years (maximum), Milepost 2: 2 years (maximum), Milepost 3: 3 years (maximum) In order to accommodate Schools which spread their IPC Milepost route plan over the maximum number of years stated above - please create separate route maps for additional years or divide them as required. This means you will have to produce more than one route map for your IPC Milepost.

Q. Can I mix/combine units from different Mileposts? - A. The answer to this at the moment is No. You can only create a route map for one milepost at a time.

What schools say ...

It will make the whole process of reviewing route plans simpler and quicker. We will not have to wait for feedback from IPC, we can put in the information and get instant feedback online of what we have covered and what is missing. I think it's a great addition to the IPC tool kit and automates a process that can be very time consuming. Another great idea. Thanks guys!
