‘Leading the IPC’ - a course for IPC Co-ordinators
Who is this course for?
This course is for people who have or will have responsibility for leadership, coordination and management of the IPC in their school. Participants should:
- Have some experiential knowledge of the IPC
and/or...
- Have already been through a beginning level IPC course
and/or...
- Be looking to lead the implementation of IPC in their schools and giving advice to colleagues on IPC related matters
What will I learn?
By the end of the course you will:
- Know about the IPC 9 guiding principles in detail and how they drive your school’s implementation of the IPC
- Know about the process of ‘change’ and how to lead and manage it in your school
- Be able to articulate key messages about how the IPC is being used to support learning in your school
- Be able to recognise some of the factors that may be a help or a hindrance when leading the IPC in your school
- Be able to lead colleagues in your school and explore practical ways of supporting them both in and out of the classroom
- Be able to reflect on the Self Review process and identify which areas for development are relevant for your school at this time
- Be able to consider how the development of the IPC fits in with your school improvement planning
- Be able to identify your next steps and put an action plan in place, which you can take back to your school
- Developed your understanding of the principles and practices underpinning the IPC
- Developed your understanding of what it means to be an IPC Leader for Learning
